Jason is a Bedford County native.  He started with the department as a Volunteer in 2008.  He  became full time in October of 2009.  Jason and his wife, Susan have  two daughters.  He enjoys working outside and spending time with Susan and his daughters, Jacie and Emilie.

Justin Bird
Justin is a native of Georgia.  He volunteered for the City of Shelbyville for two years before going fulltime in May 2011.  Justin has a daughter named Dalyce.  He has also been a Bedford County volunteer since 2005.  He loves to spend time with his daughter, family and friends.  Justin likes sports and Georgia Dawgs.

Jason is a Bedford County native and served as a volunteer firefighter before being hired full time in September 2002.  His interests include hunting, fishing and riding 4-wheelers.

Glen is a native of Bedford County and has been with the Shelbyville  Fire Department since  June of 1999.  Glen and his wife, Yuvonda have two children.  In his spare time Glen enjoys breaking horses and  farming.

Josh served 2 years as a volunteer Firefighter before becoming full time in 2008.  He operates a lawn mowing service on his days off and is single.  Josh enjoys the outdoors and dirt track racing.

Chris is a Bedford County native. He has volunteered with the city since June of 2001.  He enjoys hunting and fishing.  Chris was hired on as a full time firefighter in September 2002.

Serving the City of Shelbyville since 2006, Jerrod is the son of Ricky and Diane Clanton.  Jerrod is the Grandson of retired Fire Fighter Donald (Duck) Clanton. Jerrod enjoys drag racing, hunting and riding motorcycles.

Roger is a Bedford county native, has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since September of 1987.  He and his wife Renee have 3 children, Keith, Tyler and Kayla.  His hobbies and interests include fishing, horseback riding and hunting. Roger owns Clanton Automotive Repair Service which he operates on his days off.

Blaine has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since July of 2000.  He enjoys coon-hunting, playing golf and dirt track racing. Blaine is the owner of  Grass Surgeons Lawn Care.

Serving the City of Shelbyville since 2005, Amanda is third generation Fire Fighters.  Amanda enjoys horseback riding, four-wheeling and hunting.

Serving the City of Shelbyville since 2005, Tim is married to Amanda  and they have a daughter named Zoey.  Tim works with Squad One Fire Extinguishers on his off time.  He also plays softball, enjoys fishing and time with his daughter.

Calab is a Bedford County native.  He is a part-time Sherriff Deputy and also helps with the Family Business, Doak Howell Funeral Home.  He enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with friends.

Serving the City of Shelbyville since 1998, Captain for Station #1 and Assistant Training Officer for the Department.  He also serves as the SED Representative on the Shelbyville Bedford County Special Response Team (S.R.T.).  Matt is a USMC Reservist and a Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran.

Jason, native of Shelbyville, has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since October 1998. Prior to being hired with our department he served 3 years as a volunteer with Bedford County. Jason is married to Cindy and has two daughters, Sydney and Taylor.  He is a soccer coach and a huge NASCAR racing fan.  He enjoys working for the Nashville Speedway.

Matt has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since June 2000.  Prior to being hired he served as a volunteer with Bedford County.  He and his wife Rachel have a son named Justin.  Matt enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time.

Kenneth joined Shelbyville Fire Department as a volunteer in 2007 and continued full time in 2009. He has been a volunteer in the county since 2001.  Kenneth is a member of the S.R.T. team as a hazard-material technician.  He enjoys spending his free time with his  wife Dawn and hanging out with friends at UVFD.

Tripp, a Bedford County native, has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since November 1999. He has training in rescue diving, swift water rescue, EMT and various fire fighting courses.  His wife's name is Kelly.  He enjoys hunting and farming on his days off.

has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since December 1986.  Ricky serves as Senior Inspector for the Shelbyville Fire Department.  He is a member of the Tennessee National Guard and a Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran.

Brandon is a Bedford County native.  He has been with the department since October of 2009. Brandon also works at the Bedford County EMS as an EMT-IV.  Brandon and his wife,  Samantha have one daughter, Annsley.

Chris is a native of Unionville,  Tennessee.  He has volunteered for the Shelbyville Fire Department since 2009 and he became full time on May 2, 2011.  He enjoys hunting and tractor pulls.

Brian is a Native o
Nashville and has lived in Shelbyville since 1989.  He worked in law enforcement and criminal justice before entering the fire service in 1991 and became a member of the Shelbyville Fire Department in June 1999.  Brian is responsible for the public education program, fire inspections, plans review, fire investigations and incident reporting.

 Captain Rob Rhodes has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since September 1993. He has a successful lawn service and enjoys any  type of construction and remodeling project. Rob's most enjoyable hobby is blacksmithing and metalworking.

Jason Richardson

Jason has been with the Department since October 2006.  He became  a full time Fire Fighter in July 2007.  His father James has been a volunteer Fire Fighter for over thirty years.  In addition to being a Fire Fighter he is also a licensed Emergency Medical Technician with the State of Tennessee.   Jason is married to Melyndia and they have 2 daughters, Ashlyn and Brooklyn.  On his days off he works as the shipping Manager at Son, Inc.

Eric  has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since June of 2000.  Eric's grandfather C. L. Burris was a long time member of our Department until his death in 1993.  Eric and his wife Julie have two sons Mason and Sam.  On his days off Eric likes to do carpenter work and woodworking.

Dwayne Sullivan

Dwayne is a native of Shelbyville and been with the  Shelbyville Fire Department since January 4, 1981.  He became interested in firefighting at a young age while visiting his uncle, who is now retired, at the Shelbyville Fire Department.  When he became old enough, Dwayne applied for a job with the department and has been here ever since.   He owns a horse farm and works there on his days off.

Ben  been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since 1999.    He is a graduate of the Atlanta Institute of Music and enjoys playing golf and music in his spare time.  Ben and his wife Kara have 2 children, a son Cale and a daughter Ella.  He is a partner in B&E Trim work.

Terry has been with our department since September 9, 1991. He also has years experience with the Bedford County Volunteer Fire Dept.  Terry has 4 children.  In his spare time, he enjoys fishing with the Fire Chief and spending time with his wife, Laurie and his daughter.

Zach started working with Shelbyville Fire Department in May 2007.  He is a first responder for the City, County and also with Flat Creek volunteer fire dept . Zach is single and he spends his spare time working on the farm.  He also enjoys hunting and fishing.

Mike, a native of Richmond, Indiana. He has served with the county since 1993 and the city since January 1998.  A friend talked Mike into Volunteering 9 years ago and he has been hooked ever since.  In his spare time mike enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife Tammy and their three children Tyler, Brandon and Breanna.

"Jimbo" has been with the Shelbyville Fire Department since 2000.  He  earned a B.S. degree  at Middle Tennessee State University.  Jimbo works for Bedford Tractor/John Deere and farms on his days off.
